In WG Kids, we're committed to giving your children a safe and welcoming environment where they can build a relationship with Jesus and experience a strong church community from a young age. From babies through 5th grade, WG Kids helps kids feel surrounded by God's love, experience the wonder of having a relationship with Him, and discover how the truth of knowing Him changes our lives. Our goal is to partner with you so your kids can develop active faith at church and home. Creative Bible lessons, and engaging activities are just some of the things you can expect your kids to experience each week!

For families, picking the right church means finding a place where their kids can safely explore their faith and have a blast doing it. At WG Kids, we bring the joy of Jesus to life, and make God’s Word exciting and actionable – while creating a space where kids connect with old friends and make new ones. We make learning about God fun and relevant. Each week, your child will engage with exciting, age-appropriate Bible lessons that help build their faith.
Ensuring your child’s safety is our top priority. We use kidcheck which is a secure check-in system and adhere to strict safety protocols to maintain a safe environment for everyone. We provide a welcoming space. Children can make friends, share experiences, and grow in their faith together, creating a strong sense of community and belonging.

Kids Ministry Schedule
WG Kids meets every Sunday morning at our Parkside Campus. We offer programming for children from 6 weeks old through 5th grade.
At 10:00 AM 
Children 6 weeks through 5th grade participate in Sunday School small groups where they explore God’s Word in an age-appropriate environment.
At 11:00 AM:
6 weeks through Pre-K continue learning through age-appropriate worship and Bible lessons.
Kindergarten through 5th Grade attend Large Group Kids Worship, a dynamic worship experience designed specifically for their level of learning.

Check-in for all kids activities begins 10 minutes prior to each hour.

Kids MDWK (Wednesdays) at the Grove Campus begins at 5:30 PM with dinner. Children will rotate through Missions, Recreation, and Worship throughout the evening and we conclude at 7:15 PM.
 

Visiting us for the first time? No fear! Look for first time Guest Kids Check-In when you arrive. We will meet your family, check your child into class and one of our volunteers will lead your child to their age appropriate room. You can register your children before you arrive, click the button below to create your KidCheck account. We can't wait to meet you!

You can feel safe leaving your children in our care! All of our Kids Leaders are background checked and trained to work with your child's age group! We also proudly use a secure check-in system to help keep your kids safe. It's super convenient, fast, and easy. Watch the video to learn more!

The safety of children on our campus is our first priority. When you first arrive, a Kids Team Member will greet you and guide you through the initial guest check-in process. Returning families can create a secure KidCheck account and check in at one of our kiosks or use the express check-in app. Controlled-access doors and our very own security team members are present to ensure the safety of each child.

For nursing mothers,  please make your way to our nursery where you can nurse.

Are your kids asking questions about becoming a Christian? Or have they already prayed to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior? Well, Starting Point is the class for them! Starting Point is designed for new Christian kids and/or kids who want to learn more about becoming a follower of Jesus Christ. This class is offered three times a year. Please check back for the next opportunity. Parent(s)/Guardian(s) are highly encouraged to attend.

Are your kids ready to take their next steps in faith of obedience and get baptized? The Baptism class for kids is designed to help your child understand what baptism is and how it is a symbol of obedience in following Christ. This class is offered three times a year. Child Dedication at Walnut Grove Baptist Church
We believe that children are a precious gift from God, and we're grateful that you're considering
dedicating your child to Him. Child dedication is a special time when parents publicly commit to raising their child in a
Christ-centered home. During the dedication service, parents, along with family, friends, and the church family, pledge to
work together to help the child grow to know, love, and follow Jesus Christ.
 
This service is not about the child's salvation but about the parents' commitment. It provides an opportunity for you to publicly
express your desire to faithfully lead and spiritually nurture your child, relying on the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit.
As a church family, we also commit to praying for, encouraging, and supporting you as you raise your child to love
God and love others.

To participate in Child Dedication at Walnut Grove, we ask that parents:
Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Affirm the core beliefs and doctrine of Walnut Grove Baptist Church.
Be regular participants in the worship and life of Walnut Grove.

If living together as a couple but not married, be willing to pursue God's design for marriage before participating in a
child dedication service. We recognize that every family's journey is unique. If you have questions about any of these
